REVERSE CURVE

PREPARATION

For me, the preparation of this one is the easiest one, I just simply used the sheet cutter to cut the large aluminium sheet into the size I wanted it to make the curve.

SMASHING

Firstly, you have to be strong enough to bent the sheet into a curve in a wood cylinder with a curve cut out in the middle by HAND, I asked a little help from someone. Secondly, I put the metal sheet on the cylinder and wrapped it around, then used the hammer to smash it along the middle curve, then I got a rough main curve. After, I used the metal hammer and Plashing stake to make the reversed curves on both sides. But be careful about the size of plashing stakes that you are choosing, it might get too thin.
Finally, I put it on the English wheel and made the main curve a bit smoother.

POLISHING

Again, i used the Brasso Metal polish to get this done.Firstly, you will need to put the liquid on a cloth and wipe it all around the bowl, and after, use another clean piece of cloth to wipe it out.
